My belief is that "Kyouiku
chokugo"(the Imperial Rescript on Education) is an evil thought.
Imperial Rescript on Education is
such a clearly evil obscurantist instructor tool.( clearly an evil foolish
teaching tool.)(obscurantist=曖昧な言い方をする人、蒙昧主義者、反啓蒙主義者)
In my opinion, it is the power-oriented
fascists that highly appreciate this wicked foolish teaching tool. Why do the
fascists express praise and support for the Imperial Rescript on Education in
the public place? Because they are trying to get some benefit by doing so.
On the evening of March 14th, when
Mr. Matsuno, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology(Minister
of Monka shou) made the statements advocating the
Imperial Rescript on Education, I repeated the following tweets.
<The reason why the Imperial
Rescript on Education is still fascinating many Japanese people, including young generation is because there is a
consistent idea; " A public value as a collective group of Japanese people
and a feeling rooted in tradition are much more important rather than the
individual values of individual humans." This idea is fundamentally identical to
Yankee's aesthetics.><It is Yankee 's collectivist
morality to embrace the euphoria of
becoming a member of a larger assembly. The culture that connects them is such
juvenile homosocial values as friendship, effort, victory. Therefore, the Imperial
Rescript on Education is in the middle of Yankee's thought.>
I want to know.
What kind of world were the people
going to create through Moritomo Gakuen -the people who agreed with the pre-war
moral education centered on the Imperial Rescript on Education promoted by Moritomo
Gakuen and tried to use their influence for the establishment of an elementary
school which realizes this idea?
I do not think that they are always
trying to make war again.
However, it is apparent that they
are "reclaiming" pre-war beautiful Japan
denied by the occupation forces ( they think). It is the Imperial Rescript on
Education that fundamentally supports the value of that "beautiful
Japan". Those people I referred to
above may point out the reason of the exclusion of the Imperial Rescript on
Education in the Diet mentioned earlier that it was done during the occupation
period.
The fundamental thought that is at
the heart of that "the Imperial Rescript on Education" is to respect
the "group" rather than "individuals", place high value on
"public" rather than "me" and maintain social order more
than individual freedom. This attitude
is the cardinal rule itself of Japan's
"strong team". And this is, in fact, true, whether in a yakuza(Japanese
gangster group), a motorcycle gang(bousouzoku), a baseball club, a black
company or a government office.
In our country, for our organization
to function as a strong team, the group must take precedence over the
individuals, freedom must be pressed by the order, my heart must be destroyed
by public interest. What is regarded as most beautiful among such teams is a human
figure who throws away his or her life for something or someone else . This is
an aesthetic that has not changed at all, from the old days of Kamikaze's suicide
corps to "one-piece" cartoons, and furthermore if you explore those
roots, perhaps you can go back to the era of Byakkotai(was
a group of around 305 young teenage samurai of the Aizu domain, who fought in
the Boshin War (1868–1869).) and
Chushingura.

Hakkou Ichiu (Hatchakoichi) means to
make the whole world a house. It is referred to in the " Nihon Shoki
".
The Imperial Rescript on Education played
a major role in tailoring Japanese children in the prewar to soldiers of the
Imperial Army. Therefore, it was expelled, excluded or banished from the
educational place once. Now, it is beginning to be on the way to revival. The current situation means, in my opinion, a defeat or dismantling of the peace education after
the war and the postwar democracy.
Indeed, those who insist on reviving
the Imperial Rescript on Education are also the people who repeatedly insist on
the Constitution of Japan having aging deterioration and its invalidation(無効).So again we will
return to the ideals of Hakkou Ichiu.
When reading the debate over the LDP
's constitutional revision proposal, it is surprising that the word;' overly 過度に,
非常に,
大いに
excessive individualism ' has been repeated many times from many mouths in many
occasions. So much, they hate individualism.
What depresses me is the fact that
the individualism-hatred is not limited to the members of the LDP but also it
spreads among average Japanese including
young generation. It is common
idea of the majority.
We love to be united, love to
cuddle, we have a strong attachment to the situation that we are themselves a
group.
In common sense before World War II,
it was indispensable to bring the emperor to the center of the thought, in
order to embody the idea of the Imperial Rescript on Education. However, those
who are trying to reintroduce the Imperial Rescript on Education in the 21st century
might think that the centralization even without the emperor would be possible.
Well, the doughnut is round even if
the middle is hollow. It will not be impossible. The time when their ideal
comes true may not be so distant a future, from the way things are seen.
As for myself, I am hoping to avoid
circumstances that become part of the donut in the world, if possible. If I can
die as a piece of breadcrumb, I will be satisfied in it.(When it's possible to
close a life as a piece of breadcrumb, there is no dissatisfaction with that.)
